Catching Up
Now, on with the show: Here is a quick synopsis of the year to date.
Earlier this year most of the team from both locations attend our big trade show (the ABA) in Vancouver at the new Convention Centre. A great facility worth checking out. One of the highlights was Taking in Tabatha Coffey’s (Salon Takeover) seminar. Lots of learning and fun was had by all.
Also this year we have had two great in salon colour class, facilitated by amazing Redken artists.
Our TENTH charity cut-a-thon was held in May. This was held at the salon and local art was also for sale at the event. That evening we held a bachelor auction at a local night club. Money raised by all of these events went to The Cancer Foundation. A Very special thank you to Jessica for doing all the work to make this happen.
In June we assisted with hair styles and hair pieces in “The Wearable Art Show” at the Victoria Art Gallery. The art was made from recycled materials such as leather and rubber.
July brought Pride week. Both SAlons participated in the Pride Parade. We applied feathers to the models in our section of the parade and proudly walk with them on the route. There were huge crowds watching. It was an incredible experience.
I’ve been going to arq salon for a few months now. I came the first time because I had gone to a previous salon who messed up my hair cut real bad and I came to arq salon to see if they could fix my hair. Well she fixed amazingly! I loved it. Ive been going there ever since and am 100% happy with my haircut everytime! Plus, the customer service is excellent!. Just wanted to say thank you

The new webpage looks great! Nice to read the bios. My husband & I have been Arq on Douglas clients for a year and a half, and love the salon. Great stylists (Thank you Jessica), good customer service, and the salon has a great feel. Happy with the way we look every time we walk out (haven’t been able to say that in a very, very long time). Thank You Arq team.
