Born and raised in England, Stewart Bridgman’s earliest influence came from a culture that has had a lasting impression on music, fashion and personal style.
At the early age of sixteen, Stewart began a lifelong career in hair styling that would eventually develop into a passion not only for his craft, but for building opportunity for those around him through business. With a strong Vidal Sassoon foundation, he worked as an educator for a group of salons in England before moving to Canada in 1990. At the age of twenty-six he opened his first independent salon, just ten years after starting in the industry.
In 1996 Stewart co-founded Arq Salon in Victoria, B.C., his early business experience and strong education proving to be an asset in the tremendous success and longevity of a business with a near fifteen year history in the Victoria, B.C. community.
With thirty years of experience behind the chair, and twenty years of practice helping stylists find successful, personal and professional development, Stewart has a sincere passion and knowledge for the hairdressing industry and the people involved.
While devoting himself to the business, Stewart maintains a balanced personal life with interests that include surfing, skateboarding and visiting family in England.
